Eroticon 2018 Meet and Greet

Upskirt shot, in which I look hella cute.

There are only fifteen days until Eroticon, and I am super excited! If I haven’t done things like decide what pretty underwear I should wear book trains to London yet, it’s only because I cannot believe that I actually did sign up for this crazy adventure, and it hasn’t quite sunk in how close it actually is. However, seeing as it is only fifteen days away, it’s time to join in with the virtual meet and greet!

Also, if you’d like confirmation that I can occasionally be optimistic, please note that I’ve specified in my post title that this is my 2018 meet-and-greet post, in the hope that while this might be my first Eroticon, it won’t be my last…

Ok, so the questions.

Name (and Twitter if you have one):

I’m Jadis, and if you’re reading this you’ll possibly have realised that my blog is called Tits And Test Tubes. You can find me @TitsAndTestTube on Twitter.

What are you most looking forward to about Eroticon 2018?

Can I say absolutely everything? Unlike many others attending, I haven’t decided what sessions I’ll be attending yet. In fact, it will most likely be a spontaneous choice – as was my decision to go to Eroticon in the first place. I suppose I’m most excited to meet the bloggers whose blogs I love, and those who I’ve talked to and interacted with on Twitter. There are going to be so many cute humans there…

We are creating a play list of songs for the Friday Night Meet and Greet. Nominate one song that you would like us to add to the play list and tell us why you picked that song:

This one was tricky, as I was trying to think of a song that is a little bit special to me. I realised that there is one clear choice: You’re Still Mine by Teen Canteen is a song I’ve danced crazily to and cried my heart out to. I’ve picked it, however, because while it still makes me smile with bittersweet heartbreak, it is also a reminder that I have – at least a little – moved on.

What’s the first career you dreamed of having as a kid?

As the girl who started ballet at three and passed her dance teacher qualifications before starting university, if I’m being honest I would have to say ballerina. For a long time though, it was a writer. Ever since I read the final three Harry Potter books in four days (my parents hadn’t let me read them until they deemed me “old enough” so when they did nothing was stopping me from devouring them) I wanted to read and to write.  And now I’m actually attending a writing conference in London… Maybe childhood dreams can come true?

Weirdest place you’ve ever gotten up to mischief (define ‘mischief’ however you like…):

Can I be ambiguous about what I’m defining as mischief and say in a tiny pub in Aberdeen? Possibly more accurately, the incoherent tweet I sent during dinner with my (at the time) fuck buddy reveals the most public place I’ve had mischievous fun. Oh, and I came out to the girl I later fell in love with while sitting in a tent, if that’s weird?

Tell us two truths and a lie about yourself:

When writing stories as a teenager, the first kiss I ever wrote was between two girls – and this was before I realised that I wasn’t straight.

The best day of my life was the day I discovered I had done terribly in my Higher exams.

I spent yesterday evening trying to source and coordinate the collection of tents for sixteen girls for an adventure I’m organising this summer.

Complete the sentence: I want…

… to be a better person today than I was yesterday, and to keep growing and learning and exploring.

See you at Eroticon!

  1. I want ” to be a better person today than I was yesterday” This is AWESOME. I might have to nick this one for my own as well – it’s a lovely sentiment. I’m especially looking forward to meeting you at Eroticon because you’ve been so bloody lovely and supportive about my work, it’ll be a total delight to say hello (and hopefully you’ll let me buy you a drink!) xxx
